Alca Petroleum Company’s central location in Western Europe makes it a logistical hub for the distribution of various goods and provides access to international shipping routes on the Atlantic Ocean and the Baltic States.

Alca Petroleum Company is also part of the Rhine-Alps, North Sea- Mediterranean and North Sea-East Sea transport corridors. This allows goods to be delivered quickly and efficiently via rail, road and/or inland waterways to their final destination.

The locks in Terneuzen connect the Sea Canal to Ghent and the Westerschelde allowing access to sea going vessels of up to 265m length, 37m beam and a draft of 12,5 meters.

From 2023, the new lock will allow access to Post-Panamax seagoing vessels of up to 366m length, 49 m beam and a draft of 15m.

Alca Petroleum Company is also subject to the guidelines and operates under a License to Operate granted by the authorities. We therefore hire experienced suppliers and contractors who accept and adhere to our safety procedures. Supplier activities are monitored on a regular basis to ensure that their operational checks, management systems and safety performance complies with Alca Petroleum Company Terminals criteria. Quality management is embedded in the operational procedures and a code of conduct is in place.
